The year has started off strongly for the Bio Collectors team. Since the beginning of 2025, we’ve been shortlisted for several prestigious industry awards and have also been featured in a six-page magazine spread. 

This has been a welcome recognition of our continual effort to make our closed-loop food waste recycling service accessible and affordable for London businesses. Let’s take a closer look at what’s been happening for us this year. 

Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management 

The Bio Collectors team are proud to have two nominations for the 22nd annual Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management in the following categories: 

• Excellence in Environmental Impact 
• Food Waste Initiative of the Year 

This yearly event celebrates “outstanding environmental progress” and spotlights some of the most remarkable achievements in the recycling, reuse and reduction sectors. We are thrilled that our striving for environmental excellence has been recognised by such a prestigious body. 

LGC Awards 2025

Our team are delighted to be nominated for LGC awards in the following categories: 

• Environmental Services: Partnership for sustainable food waste recycling with the West London Waste Authority. 

• Public/Private Partnership: Innovative partnership for sustainable food waste recycling with the West London Waste Authority. 

The LGC stands for Local Government Chronicle, a long-established magazine for government officials. Awards are given after a rigorous two-stage judging process to ensure the most deserving winners are chosen. The shortlist alone features only the strongest candidates in each category, and the Bio Collectors team are proud to have made it to this select group 

ADBA Awards

We’re very pleased to have been shortlisted for an ADBA award in the following category: 

• Net Zero Circular Solutions: In recognition of our fully circular energy model. 

The ADBA awards recognise the innovators and big achievers in the anaerobic digestion and biogas industries, and the awards are run by the Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association. We’re glad that our fully circular closed-loop food recycling service has been recognised by the wider industry. 

Inside Sustainability 

Here at Bio Collectors, we were featured in a six-page spread for the March edition of Inside Sustainability, a respected publication which focuses on the most upcoming sustainable products, technologies and developments.
